This is an awesome blog post. I wish we could dispel the “Friendzone Myth” once and for all. There is no culturally-sanctioned system of resentment in place for the woman whose object of affection doesn’t reciprocate; men, on the other hand, can simply blame women for not “realizing” that a “good guy” is right in front of them. It’s an unfair double standard that reveals, disturbingly, just how ingrained sexism really is in our culture. Ms. Callobre says it perfectly, and so does this meme:

So guys, next time you’re about to complain about being “friendzoned,” consider the fact that maybe she’s JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU—and maybe, just maybe, that that is her right as a human being with free will. /endrant
